NYC BASED ACTOR

ABOUT

Emily is an actor, singer, and songwriter born and raised in the mountains of Colorado. As a child, she started out taking jazz dance and playing guitar, certain that her path involved creativity of some sort. At age eight, Emily auditioned and took part in her first play, ultimately finding her home in the theatre. With a mom as a social worker and a dad as a working musician, Emily combined both her worlds of influence. Her artistic expression is infused with a deep love of nature, and a desire to bring peace and healing through storytelling. She seeks to illuminate truth, amplify the stories of people with no voices, and shed light.

She had 10 years of community theatre experience before moving to NYC at the age of 18 to refine her technique. She is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and had the honor of being the student representative speaker at the 2024 graduation. She received additional training through the prestigious Company Program, led by esteemed director and dialect coach, Barbara Rubin.

She has received training in Meisner, Uta Hagen, Movement, Alexander Technique, Lucid Body, and Advanced Scene Study.

She has studied under Janis Powell, Susan Pilar, Nurit Monacelli, Maggie Low, & Ibsen Santos.

She carries her father’s wisdom with her always: “Allow life to wash over you like a river.”

“Compassion and love are not finite resources and art is not created in a vacuum. It is the product of memory, imagination, and empathy.”
